GET TESTED FOR COVID-19

The Ontario government continues to expand and extend its testing capacity for COVID-19 to include "proactive" testing, including those who are asymptomatic, or have not been exposed to infection . Employees of "essential workplaces" and regulated healthcare practitioners who are returning to practice have been identified as "priority populations" who should be tested. Deputy Premier and Health Minister Christine Elliott encouraged healthcare practitioners to be tested before they return to practice. She also emphasized that testing negative in no way affects the requirement to fully observe all other social distancing, client, employee and practitioner safety and infection control requirements.
