Full-Time Optician - Niagara & Fort Erie, ON

The Vision Clinic is currently hiring an Optician to work in a fast-paced retail optical with a dynamic

team. Our company has 13 locations within the Niagara and Hamilton regions and over 30 years in business.

Now hiring for experienced dual Licensed Optician for our Niagara Falls & Fort Erie locations. 

Duties include: 

• Provide exceptional customer service 

• Pre-screen clients to help evaluate their vision needs 

• Evaluate and interpret prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists based on patient needs within their scope of practice 

• Take and record accurate details of patient’s optical and facial particulars to source the best fit and style  

• Assist clients with the selection and fitting of prescription contact lenses, spectacle lenses, frames, and sunglasses 

• Work with provided equipment to adjust or design contact lenses and frames for clients 

• Complete additional daily office tasks such a record keeping, insurance payment processing, maintaining accurate inventory, and tracking requests 

• Support patients in scheduling optometrist appointments  

• Create work orders for the lab and provide all relevant information for manufacturing lenses 

• All tasks associated with contact lens fitting and evaluations 

• Maintain a safe and exceptional level of health care cleanliness at all times 

• General office duties to support the efficiency and smooth operation of the store  

Requirements: 

• Registered and Licensed Optician in good standing with the College of Opticians of Ontario 

• Experience preferred

• Excellent customer service skills 

• Strong computer knowledge and administrative abilities 

• Excellent communication skills; pleasant telephone manner 

• Fashionable, professional attire 

• Must have own transportation

Job Type: Full-Time – Must be able to work on Saturdays

Work Location: This position is fulltime between our 2 locations in Niagara Falls and Fort Erie. Must have

own transportation.

Willing to work at multiple locations to cover sick or vacation leaves if required.
