Inside Optics 2020 Updates

Like every other organization in the country, the Ontario Opticians Association (OOA) is responding to the threat of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in a responsible manner to reduce the risk to Members and to conference delegates. The in-person Inside Optics conference, to be held Sunday, April 19 has been canceled. However, the entire Inside Optics program will proceed with a webcast option.  The OOA and the OAC are working collaboratively on a solution to deliver the Inside Optics conference using an e-learning platform to ensure participants can engage and earn continuing education credits from the comfort and safety of home. For everyone currently registered, you will automatically be converted to an e-learner registration. An Inside Optics webcast package will be sent to you by the OAC, by email, to explain how to log on and how to participate. The OOA will also include this information on its website for your reference.  Upon completion of the web-based Inside Optics program, you will receive your CE certificate.If you do not want to try the e-learning option, your registration can be refunded or your conference registration fees can be transferred to the Professional Learner Conference in Ottawa on September 13 or, to the Specialty Symposium in the Fall, Sunday, October 4, 2020. Registration to the Fall program will automatically qualify you for the early bird rate and you will receive a $25 refund. We are all being called upon to be resilient, resourceful and to find ways to continue to lead a normal life during a very challenging time.  The OOA and the OAC are pleased to offer this solution.  Please watch for an email repeating these options and providing you with an opportunity to confirm your choice.
