Duties:
Order prescription optical lenses from Suppliers
Operate laboratory equipment to polish and edge lenses for eyeglasses according to spectacle prescriptions and fit lenses into frames
Lay out eyeglass lenses to direct the curving and cutting, and measuring lens power
Verify lens power
Maintain and repair optical laboratory equipment and machines
Make minor repair to spectacle frames such as replacing frame screws, straightening frames or replacing nose pads
Qualifications:
Must have basic computer skills
Must be able to multi-task
Must be able to work well independently
Must have good customer service skills and demeanor with the ability to study and interpret customer issues
Must be able to focus on details
Must have good fine motor skills to manipulate small objects and instruments
