COVID-19 Booster Shots now available for Opticians
The Ontario Opticians Association received important information today regarding the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot availability. As of November 5th, COVID-19 booster dose eligibility has been extended to People aged 70 and older
Health care workers
Designated essential caregivers in congregate settings (including long-term care home and retirement home staff and designated caregivers)
People who received two doses of AstraZeneca or one dose of Janssen (a complete series of a viral vector vaccine)
People who are First Nation, Inuit and/or Métis
People who are 18 years and older and live with people who are First Nation, Inuit and/or Métis
(As per Getting the COVID-19 vaccine) There are many pharmacies participating in administering the COVID-19 vaccine. If you click on this link you can find your closest pharmacy.
Most pharmacies require booking ahead of time, however, you can call to check availability of the vaccine if you are looking to have a walk-in appointment.
